Low and Middle Income Economy Award and Study Leave Grant.
The Analytical Chemistry Trust Fund is pleased to announce that applications are now open for two key funding opportunities designed to support analytical chemists in advancing their careers and contributing to the global chemistry community.
Low and Middle Income Economy Award
The purpose of the Low-Middle Economy (LME) Scholarship scheme is to provide the opportunity for citizens of Low-Middle Economy countries who are employed in their industrial, academic or public service sectors. To visit a Host Institution in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland to acquire new analytical science knowledge, or experience of analytical science teaching, learning or training methods, which would be applied on return to their Home Country.
The emphasis would be strongly on achieving a practical and beneficial impact in their Home Country, rather than on purely academic research.
Study Leave Grant.
The purpose of the Study Leave Grant scheme is to provide the opportunity for Analytical Scientists who are employed in university, industrial or public service sectors in the United Kingdom (UK) or Republic of Ireland (RoI) to visit a Host Institute in the UK/RoI to acquire new analytical science knowledge, or experience of analytical science teaching, learning or training methods, which would be applied on return to normal employment.The grant would contribute towards travel to and from the host institute, accommodation and subsistence during the visit, but will not cover the salary of the applicant.
